I've an eclectic background as a developer and a history of wearing many hats.
I currently work as an IT consultant typically working on integration projects for 'Wall Street' firms. I'm also the firm's in-house web developer and server admin, responsible for our internal web applications.
As an ad hoc WordPress Codex editor, I help to improve the API documentation, as I'm able. I'm willing to make edits suggested by others too bashful to do so themselves.
You can contact me through my Google Plus Profile - look for the 'Send an Email' link on the lower right hand side of the main panel.

Let there be blog I am generally willing to provide 'native English speaker' editorial support. Slot me in for that in the peer review process. |

Update our FAQ and abandon theme/plugin recommendations +1 also prefer protect over close. Then let the community decide to close questions over time, as @Brady suggests. |

Automated down votes? And for the second one, instead of fixing tinyMCE to display those characters, I opted for a content filter - a bit brute force, but it got the job done. So, again, no longer interested in the problem. No need to wait for the Garbage Collector. |

Automated down votes? OK Thanks for the explanation. I've deleted both of them. For the first, I abandoned the attempt to support two tinyMCE editors as 'not worth the effort.' So I no longer have any interest in fixing the problem. And with the Editor API improvements in 3.3, the simple solution will be to upgrade. |

Would a question that might be negative towards commercial theme makers be appropriate? I agree, in particular because I expect that, in about a year, the unnamed theme marketplace with perhaps the worst reputation will have quality requirements and a strong review process. It's largely in reaction to a well deserved public shaming - but ... as @EAMann says, ... |

Would a question that might be negative towards commercial theme makers be appropriate? Having become, recently, somewhat of a top user, I'm a bit concerned about your 'discouraged with the site' comment. Probably this question isn't the place to have that discussion -- but I'd very much like to understand what you're seeing and what your understanding of why that is. Perhaps let's that that discussion back to the '% unanswered questions' question. |

'Free work' questions? Yeah - been a bit leery of flags since I noticed my flag weight. Going 1 for 3 means I need a better understanding of what to flag - hence asking here. The OP had a duplicate of the question which I just flagged. Just to be clear, the OP didn't re-post after you closed the first one. I'm not sure what the intent was. |
